Brand Guidelines · v1
GLOWSTONE

Minecraft pixel-brutalism. Hard edges, one amber glow over cool near-black. A game UI built by people who actually care about type.

01 · The Mark
The system

The logo is the wordmark, set in MinecraftTen. The typeface is the brand. The capital G lifts straight out of it as a standalone mark for favicons, avatars, and tight spaces. Same letterform, traced to a vector, so the two never drift apart.

GLOWSTONE
Clear space

Headings

MinecraftTen

Uppercase, wide-tracked. Applied to every heading automatically.

Unique, opinionated game modes inside vanilla Minecraft.
Body / UI

Minecraft

The default everywhere. Keep lines short and easy to read.

01 · IN DEVELOPMENT
Mono / labels

Monocraft

Kickers, numbers, statuses, CTAs. 0.3em tracking.

04 · Shape & Shadow
Sharp corners

Zero radius. Borders carry hierarchy, not shadows.

Pixel shadow

Hard offset, no blur, tinted near-black. Never soft grey.

Square pips

Static is a bullet. Pulsing means genuinely live.

05 · Voice & Usage
Do
  • Dark surfaces only. Every surface is a tint of the same cool near-black.
  • One accent per surface. Chrome uses amber, a project surface uses its own accent.
  • Sharp corners. Radius is zero. The only round things are dots and avatars.
  • Borders carry hierarchy. Hard offset shadow (Npx Npx 0), no blur, when elevating.
  • Pips are square. Pulsing only for genuinely live state.
  • Mono kickers stay functional: a status, a number, a label.
Don't
  • No soft grey or blurred shadows. No stray amber outer-glow on buttons or cards.
  • No rounded corners on page-level components.
  • No second hue inside a surface that already has an accent.
  • No raw hex except a project's frontmatter accent. Use semantic tokens.
  • No marketing filler: elevate, seamless, next-gen, revolutionize.
  • No em-dashes or en-dashes as separators. Anywhere. Ever.

Studio voice: direct, a little terse, builder-to-builder. Concrete verbs. No marketing filler.
